achieve provides four-year high school scholarships to underserved, low-income students at three Bay Area private schools: Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco, Mercy High School in San Francisco, and Holy Names High School in Oakland.

A sophomore at Lewis & Clark College, a scholar athlete and an incredibly fine young man with a heart of gold. We will miss him.

Jacob Valdiviezo 1993-2013

To honor him, achieve will award the Jacob Valdiviezo Achieve College Scholarship annually to a graduating achieve senior.

In response to the numerous inquiries about honoring Jacob’s memory, the Achieve Program has established the Jacob Valdiviezo Achieve College Scholarship.  This scholarship will be given each year to a graduating Achieve senior to help with his or her first year college expenses. The recipient should possess the fine qualities that we admired in Jacob: integrity, leadership, academic achievement, a positive attitude and a commitment to Achieve and to his or her school.  If you would like to donate to this scholarship, please send your donation to the Achieve Foundation at One Lombard Street, Suite #202, San Francisco, CA 94111.  Your check should be written to the “Achieve Foundation” and in the memo line write “Jacob scholarship”.
